A letter from Alaina
by: Alaina R.
dear masako,
being in your twenties constantly has me in a state of melancholy. I am mourning yet cherishing every moment at the same time.
I’m living in a new city which I came to love. I have a new career. And I am still healing after a long term breakup. Though, I guess thats what comes with the territory of being a young 20 something year old. It really trickles down to thinking you don’t know who you are. Yet the next second I know exactly who I am and what I want... idk Iʻm still figuring it out.
though I think what gets me through most uncertainty is my faith. My family and friends who have been such a blessing.
I have grown to realize all one really needs to achieve peak richness in life is a strong relationship with your religion, a healthy body, and a strong circle. That is what I strive for every day. My "why" if you will.
To conclude, I first off apologize for the scramble of thoughts being dumped & not being coordinated in any way. Not very type-A of me, but I wish every girl in their 20’s to just keep showing up and really put yourself out there, you never know what you might find. Maybe another piece of yourself that you’ve been looking for.
p.s my fav song atm is BbY WOW by Karol G
